Stainless exhaust fabrication
Replace the early 409 stainless system with a tightly packaged 304 stainless exhaust, catalytic converter and two mufflers.


Use 3 inch 304 stainless tubing, TIG welds and V-band joints. Keep the catalyst and mufflers near the factory locations for clearance.
Tasks
•
Remove the old exhaust and fabricate
•
Fit the Magnaflow catalytic converter up front and a small Vibrant muffler ahead of the axle.
•
Fabricate the axle-back section with a large Vibrant muffler behind the fuel tank.
•
Check the finished system. Retain the five-cylinder sound with less volume and rasp.
