Mechanical and cosmetic refresh

Renew the engine-bay and suspension components, then restore the exterior and interior. The work included paint polishing, exterior lighting work and interior trim replacement, a Bavsound installation, wheel refinishing and tire work before the Touring returned to the road.

Engine repairs and reassembly

Remove the front clip and dismantle the engine assemblies needed to address the faults preventing the car from being driven. The car was reassembled and returned to the road after approximately two and a half months out of use.
2018

Collapsed engine mounts allowed the oil pan to sit about a quarter inch below the subframe. Ground contact cracked the pan. The subframe was dropped to replace the damaged pan.
